Mommy's best birthday present

Today is my 27th birthday and I couldn't be more thankful for what a great day it has been. Tomorrow marks my last week of maternity leave and so I am holding on to these last few days with Ivy and of course seeing Mike :) The two of them have certainly made this the best birthday yet. To see Ivy smile at me is a birthday present in itself.
Since my sister was updating her blog, she instructed that I updated mine too. This will be a quick update with lots of pictures.

The Story of Our Little Princess

Ivy Marie was brought into this world on February 22, 2011 at 3:35 am. She weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. We were blessed with smooth delivery and good pregnancy. Even though she kept her mom on her toes during the 9 months (fainting at banks that she was auditing), it was all worth it!

Ivy is a lucky girl because she was born on my mom's 50th birthday. They will forever share their special day together. The birth was special in itself as my mom's first granddaughter was born on her big day.

We are doing very well at home with our little princess. We have definitely figured out that she is a "princess" and lets us know when she wants something. She may look like her dad in every way, but I think she may have my personality. We'll see if "boss hog" comes out at all as she gets bigger :)
